Male trapped in machinery underground approximately 2,500 feet.

Several agencies, at the request of JH Ketcham Hose Company, worked to rescue a quarry worker who became entrapped in a mining machine deep in a tunnel in Wingdale at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday. He was finally freed by members of the technical rescue team at about 3:30 p.m. The accident occurred in a tunnel more than a mile into the mountain at Wingdale Materials, a company belonging to Peckham Industries.

Vehicle vs building accident

Royal Oak Professional Firefighters responded to a vehicle vs building accident. Several of the balcony’s structural supports were damaged or completely removed by the vehicle. Members of the Technical Rescue Team built shoring to provide support to the balcony. No injuries were reported.
