SFR had the pleasure of hosting one of our regional response partners at an acquired structure in town this morning. Crews sharpened their shoring skills in a partially collapsed structure, making it safe to search for survivors. Practicing skills with our regional response partners better prepares all of us to respond to large scale disasters as well as smaller incidents that can impact our community. #beready #bettertogether

Toledo Fire & Rescue Department

Earlier this afternoon, Toledo Fire crews including USAR 1 and USAR 2 responded to the 3400 block of Secor Rd for a reported car into a building. One vehicle traveled across a corner lot and struck the SE corner of a Pizza Hut restaurant. Two adults were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to a local ER for further evaluation.

Toledo Fire Technical Rescue crews initially placed a Paratech strut, then replaced it with a wooden spot shore to stabilize the corner of the building before releasing it back to the owner. No additional injuries were reported. #toledofire #toledofirefighters #techrescue
