Poudre Fire Authority, CO Walk-In Heavy Rescue

When spec’ing its new heavy rescue, Poudre Fire Authority of Fort Collins, CO chose a 26′ aluminum SVI body mounted on a 24″ raised roof Spartan Gladiator LFD chassis, which houses a powerful 600HP Cummins X15 engine. This cab and rear access walk-in apparatus is constructed with flush-fitting hinged doors and comes with a Command Light Knight Series light tower, Warn Zeon 8,000-lb. 12VDC electric winch, SlideMaster structural steel slideout trays, OnScene Solutions LED compartment lighting and much more.

Heavy Rescue 21

Provo Fire & Rescue’s new Heavy Rescue 21 (HR21) is the first Heavy Rescue in Utah County. It carries four personnel and can be deployed to vehicle extrication, structural collapse, confined space, rope rescue, trench rescue, swiftwater rescue, and hazardous materials incidents. There are 5,000 pieces of rescue equipment totaling 24,000 pounds.

When spec’ing its new Heavy Rescue, Malaga, NJ (Township of Franklin Fire Dist. 2) chose a 24′ aluminum SVI body mounted on a 20″ raised roof Spartan Gladiator 4-door chassis, which houses a 505 HP Cummins X15 engine. This fully equipped apparatus comes with a Onan Protec 25k-watt PTO generator, Will-Burt Scan Powerlite tower, Revolv-A-Tool rescue tool storage bracket, OnScene Solutions heavy-duty aluminum cargo slides and much more.
