Here is a something to put into your mental toolbox. The Plainfield Fire Territory were dispatched to an injured person at a construction site. A worker had fallen into the basement while they were setting floor joists for the first floor. The patient was in such a position that it required a rope rescue system to be set up. A combination of the rope system and the ladder truck was used to complete the rescue. For the rest of the photos, check out their Facebook page.

Rope Rescue
Low Angle Rescue
Low Angle Rescue
Moving a patient up an embankment back to the roadway could be as simple as guiding them up. However, depending on the angle of the embankment, weather and soil conditions the safest method is with a stokes basket attached to a low angle rope hauling system. Paratech Monopod being used at a recent incident in Hunterdon County NJ.
Z-Drag
Another easy to rig low angle system is a Z-Drag.
