Trench Rescue

In early 2020, the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department, NY responded a trench collapse with a victim with their legs buried. The first apparatus was on scene in less than 4 minutes from dispatch and reported two patients buried up to their waists and requested a technical rescue team. Both patients were extricated and transported to the hospital. Make sure you checkout the posts below for more details and pictures.

A Fredonia DPW worker was flown to the hospital with “crush-related injuries” after being rescued from a trench. The victim was working when the sidewall of the trench collapsed on top of the man, leaving him buried chest high.
