When I teach a New Vehicle Technology Class (NVT) several questions are typically asked by the students. What do the crumple zones, seat belts, and airbags really do for the occupants? I found this image that Honda created that explained all 3. Remember, extrication and EMS go hand in hand. Understanding the different safety features of vehicles and how those features are designed to protect the occupants to provide better patient care.
